Tiny Forest Planting using Miyawaki Method at Akan Acres

The City of Oshkosh Parks department partnered with local environmental groups for a special tree planting event at Oshkosh North Conservancy (Akan Acres), a 12-acre, City owned parcel adjacent to Oshkosh North High School.

The city worked with Urban Ecology Oshkosh and the Student Environmental Action Coalition to help create something meaningful for our community and environment.

This team planted over 700 native tree and shrub species using the Miyawaki Method.
