There is Always Light if only We are Brave Enough to Be It

Amanda Gorman’s inauguration poem. Amanda is our National Youth Poet Laureate

If we merge mercy with might and might with right then love becomes our legacy and change our children’s birthright.

Amanda Gorman

Common Roots Rising is nurturing the seeds of love and shining a light on the beauty growing all around us. We are cultivating an expanding awareness in connection with life on this planet. We are bringing more light and love into our every day lives.

The new dawn is blooming and we can feel it. We are incubating new thought and more beautiful ways of being in harmony with our earth and our human communities.

We are Rising! Rising in the light of love that we know we can be. We are rising in caring and kindness and heart-centered truth. We are rising and sharing our light and our love in our communities.

There is always light if we’re brave enough to see it. There is also light if only we are brave enough to be it.

Amanda Gorman

When we live in the light, when we remember our light and live in the light of our own being, we honor our relationship with life. Life needs light and relationship and continuing connection to grow. Life is a continuum of relationships, always communicating and cooperating and evolving towards more light.

When we live in the light, we see the light within us and we are able to grow that inner light to help us see the light all around us. We see the light in you is the same light in me. This light grows in mutual cooperation with and for life.

We need light to grow. We need light to thrive. We have all the light that we need when we remember to tap into our light connection. Our light illuminates our brave and beautiful heart to step up and shine who we are.

And this brave light is grown in collaboration with our community. Nature is here as a cooperative component to our shining when we listen and connect with our wisdom. Our human community thrives on collaboration and cooperation. Competition is a limited story and as we transform into a new story we will rise in light and love and mutual cooperation.

We look forward to the blossoming of new ways of working with each other as we steward in a bright new era of community.
