Ogdensburg Community Art – under the Tomorrow River Trail

If you haven’t had a chance to visit the little hamlet of Ogdensburg recently, you might not know there is something beautiful lurking under the old railroad bridge which sits along the bike trail that runs from Manawa to Plover.

On a frosty November morning, it’s a lovely sight to behold, with the sound of rushing water from the millpond as accompaniment. This beautiful work of art was created by Stacia Fields of Rural, one of the many gifted artists from our area.

A local group of us have been gathering to discuss how we might encourage sustainable economic development and nature-based tourism in the Waupaca-area by highlighting our unique constellation of natural and cultural heritage.

Art and artists are universally drawn to and inspired by beautiful places. So too are outdoor enthusiasts. The artists and nature-lovers of our area are no different.

Our group is hoping to bring people from diverse backgrounds together to celebrate the best of rural life and to inspire people of all ages to dream big and work together in community with others to heal the wounds of the Earth, while helping people to optimize their full potential and live in peace with one another.

In not too long, I will share more but if know of other cool people doing cool things in our area, let me know. We want to tell their stories.
