Each February for 4 days people from around the world come together to watch, learn about, count and celebrate birds. You are invited to get out and spend time in nature watching and counting as many birds as you can and reporting your observations to the larger global project.
Your help with these observations help scientists better understand the global bird population before their annual migration.

Check out the Waupaca Library’s newest virtual exhibit, Birds! In addition to the great resources at our ‘exhibit’, ask for a birdfeeder kit with your next curbside pick up. Get involved as a Citizen Scientist for the Backyard Bird Count, and don’t forget to keep an eye on our library birdfeeder.
