Doty Park Shoreline Volunteer Planting

Saturday, May 8th was the day for the Doty Park Shoreline Volunteer Planting event. We had great weather for putting in over 200 new native plants along the restored shoreline at Doty Park on Doty Island. Over 30 people joined us to fill Doty Park’s shoreline with native plants.

The volunteer event was organized as a partnership between Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance, Neenah Parks and Rec and Doty Island Development Council.

Fox Wolf Watershed Alliance created site plans for us to follow at each of the 3 sites along the shoreline.

We planted native plants species in three shoreline garden beds to help prevent erosion, slow down water runoff, add pollinator habitat, and help our local waters. Enjoy the outdoors and this gorgeous park while connecting with other volunteers!
