Grassroots Uprising Mutual Aid Market – Books and Media
August 22 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
● Mutual aid organizations from Fond du Lac to Green Bay are invited to hold free booth spaces at Opera House Square, which is conveniently located next to the Oshkosh Farmer’s Market, to accomplish three main goals:
1. GIVE PUBLIC HELP
Introduce the community to local mutual aid resources they can utilize that provide various assistance – free of qualifications, restrictions, and charge.
2. RECEIVE PUBLIC HELP
Invite those within the community who have the means, to contribute to mutual aid organizations, which do not get any government funding. Whether contributing financially, by providing needed wishlist items, or volunteering time, resources, etc., there are many ways for people to give what others need.
3. NETWORK RESOURCES
Connect local mutual aid organizations together, to enable communication to flow more easily between the groups. Learn each other’s needs and work together to meet them, share resources, and collaborate projects.
Please join us for this FREE event to learn what these orgs can do for you, what you can do for them, AND participant in a different themed SWAP mutual aid activity each month! Declutter & refresh your wardrobes, toy closets, personal libraries, and more!

Grassroots Uprising is a public monthly Mutual Aid Market under the CommonRootsRising.org umbrella, one Saturday morning per month beginning in May through October.
● The specific organizations at each event may vary based on availability. We will update a list of which ones are anticipated to be in attendance, as well as their donation wishlists and any special activities they might be contributing, as we get closer to the event dates.
