The Singing Resistance Movement calls for unified voices raised in song — this only requires your willing, enthusiastic voice (no trained voices necessary, you don’t have to be a ‘singer’ to take part! All voices can sing).

Collaborating + Combining Energies + Voices!
We are calling out to ALL community singing groups to come together to create connection as a unified voice field, collectively and collaboratively as Singing Resistance Fox Cities + Oshkosh.
We are proposing this as an ‘AND’ to all groups as they continue to nurture their own existing singing groups.
This movement is not about creating ‘another’ group.
It’s about unifying and creating a stronger movement by coming together, bringing our unique voices together to raise as one voice for humanity, for love and peace, for justice and equality.
There’s room for everyone!
Standing together, raising our voices together, matters!
This is a collaborative, cooperative, co-creative movement.
The Singing Resistance Movement talks about organizing and singing as a whole, with ‘pods’ ~ smaller core groups within the bigger context.
Pods all relate with, adapt and adopt the amazing tools and songbook that Singing Resistance Twin Cities has created for everyone to use.
This creates a unifying energy of solidarity in standing together with harmony of voice, message, and presence.
There are many smaller community groups in the area who have already been gathering to sing for connection, resistance, change, and transformative good. That’s amazing. We love it! And…
As groups are willing, they can begin to sing songs from the Singing Resistance Songbook. This creates a broad spectrum of united voices singing the same songs that are easy to learn and repeat, beautifully accessible to all voices that can be taken to the streets … creating a strong, unified voice for connection, justice, peace, love, and the good of all humanity.
Some examples of pods, within the whole of Singing Resistance:
- A community group or church choir may be a pod.
- Our own Loving Awareness and Brilliant Bliss Band community at Being Collective is another pod.
- Local Justice Singers are another pod.
- More Community Sing groups = more pods.
- And! …
At times we all intentionally mesh, connect, and come together for bigger Singing Resistance Fox Cities Sings!
Singing Resistance | Unified in Voice!
Our vision is for total co-creative, cooperative, collaborative activity.
We’re all creating for the common good, bringing people together in heart and song, creating a unifying field of connection and belonging where we can amplify Peace and Love by singing songs that promote harmony, union, and a better world where all humans are embraced, respected, and cared for.
The more group-sing gatherings, the better!
The more pods, the better!
And the more cooperative, collaborative, co-creative energy, the better!

This movement is guided and inspired by Singing Resistance USA and Singing Resistance Twin Cities where our friends have been gathering in song to care for and protect their communities as they raise their voices in support of peace, love, non-violence, resilience, justice, and solidarity.
There are over 100+ (and growing daily!) Singing Resistance groups across the US and beyond, who have organized to sing and stand in solidarity with our friends in Minneapolis and across the United States and the entire world.
